Riverspoons Studios Sailor Harley Crossover Custom Pop! Figure

“I am Sailor Harley! I stand for love for justice, and in the name of the Mr. J, I will punish you Puddin’! - Sailor Harley

Out of nowhere this crossover between Harley Quinn and Sailor Moon idea crossed my mind. This is my original rendition based from Harley Quinn’s colors. The mask & hammer was sculpted over Sailor Moon, and the whole figure was hand painted with new color pattern. Really glad this figure turned out as what I’ve imagined.

Riverspoons Studios The Joker TDK-89 Crossover Custom Pop! Figure

“Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?” - The Joker

It’s always been a blast working on a Joker figure. For this custom, I made a crossover design of Jack Nicholson’s Joker from the 1989 movie Batman and Heath Ledger ’s Joker from The Dark Knight movie. As a result, It looks pretty menacing!

Riverspoons Studios Kiki & Jiji Custom Pop! Figures

“I meet a lot of people, and at first, everything seems to be okay. But then, I start feeling like such an outsider” - Kiki

After making a Hayao Miyazaki & Totoro custom Pops! as my follow up project to my Studio Ghibli series, I present Kiki & Jiji from “Kiki’s Delivery Service”. The base figure I used here is the Spider-Gwen unmasked and Luna from Sailor Moon Pop! figures. Then all additional details were sculpted over the figures and fully repainted. I hope I can continue to do more Studio Ghibli characters in the future!

Riverspoons Studios The Witcher: Geralt of Rivia Custom Pop! Figure

“Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling… makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another, I’d rather not choose at all." - Geralt of Rivia

After a long hiatus, it’s nice to be back! I recently finished The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and I must say it is one of the best gaming experience I’ve ever had. That’s why I got inspired to give the Geralt’s official Pop! figure a makeover, with a new pose and more added details and new paint apps.

Riverspoons Studios Doc Emmett Brown 1885 with Jules Verne Train Time Machine Custom Pop! Ride

" Wait a minute Doc, are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a Hogwarts Express train?"

The winners has been finally revealed at Funko Fundays at San Diego and I am glad to announce that my work was picked as 4th Place Winner by Funko CEO Brian Marrioti out of many entries that were submitted worldwide. I am just glad to be selected as one of the winners regardless of the place. Inspired by Doc Emmett Brown, using trash as a fuel on Mr. Fusion.

For this custom, I decided to use unconventional materials - toothpicks, chopsticks, bottle of mayonnaise, headphone wires and some empty paint bottles - which for me works with how it looks. For the custom Doc Brown 1885 vinyl Pop! figure, I used the "West World" Man In Black Head and "Fantastic Beast" Percival Graves Body as the base. I added sculpted eyebrows and hair. Bowtie on the body with Apoxie Sculpt. Everything was carefully hand painted with acrylic paints. All of my efforts paid off when I saw the the whole train done the way I wanted it to be... especially after installing 890 pieces of rivets all through the train! It was truly a satisfying feeling and I am glad to finally share this piece to all of you.
